Why This Camp Is Different

Parents know: not all basketball camps are created equal.

Some are glorified babysitting.
Some are lots of running — low development.
Some are just fun — but don’t actually help players improve.

What most camps do vs. what Summer Hoops Academy does:

  • Too many kids, no real coaching

  • Lots of games, little instruction

  • Drills that don’t translate to live play

At SFBA Summer Hoops Academy, we combine elite skill work, athletic performance training, basketball IQ, and competitive scrimmages so your athlete doesn’t just work hard — they grow smarter, stronger, and more confident.

✔ Full-day camp designed for real basketball improvement
✔ Designed for the serious, motivated player
✔ Small groups — intentional coaching
✔ Focused on skills + game application + athleticism

This is development + competition — the Bay Area’s most complete summer hoops experience.

Who This Is For

Common Questions

  • Does this camp focus on competition or development?

    • Our camp focuses on both. We believe through competition we help players develop for the game of basketball. Focusing on one or ther other will leave holes in their game that will limit their success on the court. Basketball is a sport where one team wins and one team loses and when players are able to understand this concept early it helps them understand the importance of the drills toward their teams success.

  • What skill level is this for?

    • Our camp is for beginners, intermediate, and advanced players.Players are able to select the group they want to participate in so they are around players with similar skill levels. This allows us to help the athletes develop where they are and not just use a basic template. If players show progress in our intermediate group we do move them up to the advanced group.

  • What should my child bring?

    • Your athlete should bring indoor basketball shoes, 1/2 to 1 gallon of water, a foam roller, mini bands, a duffle bag or backpack that can fit all of their personal items, lunch for the day, and a change of socks.
